Passionate about providing great canine welfare
Country Trails was founded by Amy due to a passion in providing a professional and trustworthy dog walking service to both owners and dogs!
After completing A-Levels, a passion for animals and the desire to work abroad took over. Therefore throughout 2015, time was spent working in South Africa both at a primate rehabilitation centre as a care assistant caring for injured and orphaned animals and as an elephant behaviour research assistant observing semi-wild elephants 24/7 and analysing the findings.
After coming home and completing a BSc degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and working in a well-loved job as a canine hydrotherapist for a few years, the desire to work outdoors everyday whilst still being around dogs and providing great welfare resulted in Country Trails dog walking service.
Due to completing a degree and having a job which involved working with a huge variety of dogs and breeds, some of which were very challenging! A combination of knowledge and experience allows your dog to be left in the safest hands possible. Country Trails is able to provide an understanding approach to your dog's needs by taking time to meet and get to know your dog as well as implementing positive reinforcement training methods to get the best out of their walk! Our ethos believes that dog walkers spend a significant amount of time becoming part of your dog's life and routine and that it is important to ensure that person has the relevant knowledge and experience and has not just owned dogs.
